In 1911 something remarkable by the name of Kaweco Sport was created. A pocket-sized fountain pen which could be carried everywhere. It only measures 10.5 cm when closed, but it grows to a standard-sized pen when the cap is reattached on top of the barrel. Back then, the pen was advertised to the well-dressed society, and sportsmen were targeted, hence the name Sport.
The series offers classic and historical colours with a gold-plated nib, golden logo cap, and golden logo embossing. The colours include white, red, bordeaux, green, black, navy, and two other models with historical patterns chess and guilloche. With its timeless design and the most modern mechanisms, the Kaweco Classic Sport continues its success story.
Five different nib sizes are available for the fountain pen, from extra fine to extra broad. While the extra fine nib (EF) is suitable for small and delicate handwritings, the extra broad (BB) nib is often used for large, dramatic signatures. For beginners, we recommend the nib size medium (M). All nibs are produced in Germany.
Besides fountain pens, the Classic series also offers rollerball pens, ball pens, mechanical pencils and clutch pencils. The high-quality writing instruments are produced and assembled in Germany.
Sepp Herberger was among the most famous users. The national German soccer team's former coach used a Kaweco Sport to write down his successful tactics, which led to the World Championship title in 1954.
As a perfect addition to these writing instruments, we offer suitable refills, eleven colourful inks, as well as clips in silver, gold, bronze, or black.
