Kaweco’s history dates back to the year 1883. Since then, there have been many different filling systems for fountain pens. While ink cartridges are particularly popular nowadays, the piston mechanism allows the ink to be drawn directly from the bottle into the fountain pen’s integrated ink chamber. Our Sport Piston Filler thus makes ink cartridges obsolete.
Something old, something blue, something new
Our Piston Sport AL series gets colourful: Just in time for winter, our metallic piston filler gets a new, cool look. The anodised blue surface of the robust aluminium body is highly durable and gives the pen an exceptional haptic quality. The colour perfectly harmonizes with the added golden elements, which imbue the piston filler with a great elegance. The perfect balance between the weight and diameter of the fountain pen also ensures that one’s hand does not become tired even after long periods of writing.
The transparent ink window allows you to monitor the ink level at all times. If the ink runs out, the piston filler can be refilled quickly and easily thanks to the exceptionally smooth-running refill mechanism. This filling system also enables the use of inks in an unsurpassed variety of colours, as many ink colours are only available in bottles.
The Kaweco Sport Piston Filler is available as a ready-to-use Starter Set with a 32 ml ink bottle in the colour Royal Blue or as a writing instrument without additional ink.
Refined and pocket-sized
The Kaweco Sport Piston Filler is one of the smallest in relation to size and ink volume. This is possible due to its clever and compact mechanism. The iconic pocket-sized piston filler only measures 10.5 cm when closed and grows to an average size of 12.7 cm with the cap attached. Thanks to the small size, the pen is ideal for on-the-go and ensures a long and pleasant writing experience.
The fountain pen is equipped with a gold-plated stainless steel nib, available in five different nib sizes, ranging from extra fine (EF) to extra broad (BB). The 190 nib insert can easily be exchanged. To complete the look, the Kaweco Piston Sport AL Navy is placed within a round tin in our classic Kaweco design.
